Studio Conduct

Respect for Others: We ask that all guests show respect for one another and the space. Noise levels should be kept at a reasonable volume, and each individual is responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
Safety: All participants must follow safety guidelines provided by the studio, especially when handling tools, clay, or working with the kiln.

Members

Membership includes:

Access to equipment in the studio 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.
Access to the studio for creating their work.
- Free bisque firing to the studio standard
- Free access to studio glazes
Free parking.
The option to put my work in Smudge Studios’ Gallery.

Members are responsible for:

Check and know what the current Studio Rules are.
Clearly label any work sold in Smudge Studios Gallery that is not food safe.
Members can and will be assessed additional charges for:
- Clay purchased from Fired Up Studios.
- Glaze or second firing to studio standards
- Damage to kiln shelves or other members’ work caused by your work.
- Additional shelf space if the Fired Up Studios staff determines that I do not have enough space for your work and tools.

You may not hold Smudge Studios financially liable for any injury that may incur on the premises of Smudge Studios
- Understand that there are inherent risks for having your work fired
- You may hold Smudge Studios financially responsible for any damages to your work.
You will pay the firing charges for all work fired regardless of the fired results including damaged work.
Smudge Studios is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. We recommend keeping your belongings in designated areas and being mindful of your possessions during your visit.
Photography on Premises: Smudge Studios may take photographs or videos of participants and their works during classes, events, or private parties for promotional use. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify a staff member upon arrival.

You may not hold Smudge Studios responsible for loss or damage to any work on display at Smudge Studios.
You must agree to follow the current Gallery Rules and any future changes to those rules.
You must agree to the current consignment rate and payment schedule outlined in the Gallery Rules.
